In my second year of university I designed for a hypothetical production of Mozart's Magic Flute. My production is set in 1790s Scotland and takes fashionable silhouettes of the time and incorporates my interpretation on tartans and tweeds. The colours and textures for this project are inspired by the hills and forests of my home, Galloway.

I made a costume for Pamina, she wears a round gown with an empire waist. I created a woven textile from hand dyed muslin which is embellished and secured with rows of stitching. Her skirts are made from a hand dyed muslin and a chiffon which I sewed pin tucks into to allude to tartans.
