Breadwinner is a graduate film written and directed by Glen Shepard. A film following a young boy, Thomas, and his mother in rural Scotland in the 1910s.

I collaborated on the design and make of the costumes for this project, personally focusing on the character of Thomas. The costumes are a combination of sourced and made pieces which were then broken down. I mainly focused on the breakdown of the costumes. Thomas' jacket is made from a soft wool and was then broken down to look worn and misshapen as if it was second hand. His boots started off as a pair of black boots which I painted and broke in.
